True story of the devastation wrought in the town of Tangshan by a massive earthquake which killed more than 200,000 people. A swarm of dragonflies engulfs the town and the residents are perplexed by this strange behaviour. Then the ground begins to shake violently and a mother and her son watch with horror as the world literally collapses around them. In the months and years that follow, mother and child begin to rebuild their lives.
