Seasoned meteorologist Sergei is stationed on a desolate island in the Arctic Ocean with recent college graduate Pavel. The two men are in complete isolation in the research base, lost in their work and dreaming of a return to the real world. Pavel receives an important radio message which has shocking repercussions for their work but before he can deliver the news to Sergei tensions escalate at frightening speed.
