Drama inspired by the 19th century exodus of Welsh farmers and miners to Argentina. Photographer Rhys asks his girlfriend Gwen to join him on a work assignment to Patagonia where he can reconnect with his family's extraordinary and colourful past. Meanwhile, on the other wide of the world, elderly Cerys cleverly persuades handsome, young neighbour, Alejandro, to escort her to Wales to the farm owned by her grandparents.
