Japanese comic book artist Yoshihiro Tatsumi has revolutionised anime in his home country by publishing stories with distinctly adult content. Filmmaker Eric Khoo celebrates the visionary in a documentary, which embraces the animated form to chart episodes from Tatsumi's life. Bookmarked into five chapters, the film delves into the artist's childhood, growing up in the aftermath of the Second World War in a busy home, and celebrates his love for drawing, which began at an early age.
